HOVERBIKE
THE ASSIGNMENT:
For this assignment we were asked to design a mechanical vehicle.
THE IDEA
shapes
I've always wanted to make a bad-ass looking street race hover bike. I started experimenting with bold shapes and mechanical parts based on our current technology which later evolved to a more sleek sci-phi design using some sort of advanced ion thrust technology for propulsion.

My main concern was to get a sharp and recognizable shape for the main body. Right from the start I knew I wanted the color blue to steal the show. Orange would complement it perfectly so it was the obvious way to go for me.
THE PROCESS
evolution
THE END RESULT
The final texturing and rendering were made in SP, Photoshop and Marmoset.
Learning curve
Even though I still have a hard time finding the right workflow within Z Brush I feel like every time I finish a project I take big leaps in terms of knowledge and efficiency which sets me up perfectly for the next challenge. Figuring out what works and what doesn't can take a huge amount of time but it is definitely worth the while for me personally.
